We wanted to update you on the status of the popular ADSB tracking website, ADSBExchange. Recently, the website was acquired by another company and as a result, the future of the site is uncertain.
A website is nothing without its community and the dedicated feeders that provided the life blood of the service. We want you to know that not only do we appriciate the long hours you have put into setting up feeders, assisting other users in Discord, and countless other tasks that keep a community alive but that we know you are not for sale.
In light of this situation, we are excited to announce that many of the same staff will be launching a new site, ADSBNG (ADSB Next Gen), that will continue to provide the same high-quality tracking services. We hope that this new site will provide you with a continuity of service and a stable platform for the future.
We understand that many of our loyal users may not find the new site comparable to other commerical efforts, but we assure you that we are working hard to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible and that the new site will have all of the features that you have come to rely on.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and loyalty over the years, and we wish the former leadership would have done the same. We know that you have many choices right now when it comes to new ADSB communities, and we are humbled and grateful that you have chosen to stick with us.
This was all as shocking to us as it was to you, and we are still figuring out many of the critical pieces of how to prevent this from happening again. We hurt with you, and do not want to experince this pain again.
